Casework

Careers

Four open roles, all remote.

Casework sells one engagement to one kind of buyer. That makes the work unusually legible: every role here either produces the conformity file, builds what produces it, or puts it in front of the companies that need one. Below is what we are hiring for right now.

Open roles

Every posting lives on Land Early, where applications are handled. Each link opens the full description in a new tab.

    Lawyer

You would draft the conformity file itself: Fundamental Rights Impact Assessments under Article 27, risk-management system documentation, and Annex IV-aligned technical files for the hiring tools our clients deploy.

    What you would do

    • Draft and review conformity documentation for client hiring systems
    • Work the EU AI Act, Colorado, Illinois, and NYC requirements down to the individual obligation
    • Run discovery interviews with client engineering and HR teams
    • Turn whatever evidence the vendor has produced into documentation a regulator can follow
    • Lead the client review call on a delivered file, and advise on what to remediate first

    What we are looking for

    • A JD and bar admission, or comparable time as compliance counsel
    • Working knowledge of AI regulation, employment law, or data privacy
    • Comfort with fixed-scope, fixed-price project work rather than open-ended matters
    • Writing that holds up when a regulator is the reader
    • Helpful, not required: HR tech or AI governance experience, and familiarity with the major hiring platforms

    Business Development Representative

You would find the mid-market companies already running AI in hiring and open the conversation with the people who carry the exposure — heads of people, general counsel, and privacy leads.

    What you would do

    • Identify companies of 200–2,000 employees using AI hiring tools
    • Run outbound across email, LinkedIn, and phone
    • Qualify inbound intake and keep the CRM honest
    • Work directly with the founder on what the message should say
    • Hit weekly and monthly qualified-meeting targets

    What we are looking for

    • One to three years of sales development or outbound prospecting
    • Credibility in a first conversation with a GC or a Chief People Officer
    • Fluency with a CRM and the usual outbound tooling
    • A self-directed working style — this is a small team, not a pod
    • Helpful, not required: HR, legal, compliance, or GRC sales experience
  • Remote · US$60k–$90kEngineering· Mid level · Posted

    Frontend Engineer

You would build the interfaces the platform runs on — the surfaces where a conformity file gets drafted, reviewed, and approved, and where clients see what we have produced for them.

    What you would do

    • Build and maintain user-facing features in React and the surrounding stack
    • Turn designs into responsive, accessible UI
    • Work with product and backend on the APIs and data behind each surface
    • Write tested, maintainable code, and review other people's
    • Chase down performance, browser-compatibility, and usability problems
    • Have a say in where the frontend architecture goes next

    What we are looking for

    • Production experience shipping web applications in JavaScript or TypeScript
    • Real HTML, CSS, and browser fundamentals — not only framework knowledge
    • Comfort integrating REST or GraphQL APIs
    • The ability to own a feature end to end on a small team
    • An eye for polish, accessibility, and performance
    • Helpful, not required: design systems, and early-stage or compliance-adjacent products
  • Remote · US$40k–$60kMarketing· Mid level · Posted

    Marketing Specialist

You would make the Pack legible to the people who carry the exposure. One product and one buyer means the job is depth on a narrow message, not breadth across a portfolio.

    What you would do

    • Write the web copy, case studies, emails, and sales material the firm runs on
    • Plan and run campaigns measured in qualified leads, not impressions
    • Own the organic and paid channels, SEO included
    • Track what each channel actually returns, and cut what does not
    • Work with the founder on messaging and go-to-market
    • Keep the regulatory content and compliance-tracking assets current

    What we are looking for

    • Two or more years in marketing, ideally B2B or professional services
    • Technical writing that can carry a regulatory subject without hedging
    • Comfort owning a channel end to end on a small team
    • Fluency with the usual email, CRM, analytics, and CMS tooling
    • Helpful, not required: experience selling to HR, legal, or compliance buyers

How we work

What you should know before you apply.

The firm is deliberately narrow. That shapes the job more than any perk would.

One engagement, run the same way every time.

We sell the AI Hiring Conformity Pack — four weeks, fixed scope, fixed price. The Annex IV requirements are fixed and the Article 27 framework is fixed; what varies is the system a client operates, the evidence their vendor produced, and the gaps in between. If you prefer open-ended matters that expand with the budget, this will not suit you.

We only do hiring AI. Not credit models, not healthcare AI, not enterprise AI risk programs. The upside is that you get deep rather than broad, and quickly.

Small, remote, and on the record.

All four roles are remote, and the firm is small enough that you will work with the founder directly. There is no layer between you and the decision.

Casework operates HireAIScore, an independent directory that scores the same vendors our clients deploy. Whoever joins works under the firewall that keeps those two apart: engagement leads do not contribute to scoring, and we take no fees from vendors. Read the full disclosure.

One clarification

Casework is a specialist services firm, not a law firm. It does not practice law and does not provide legal advice. The Lawyer role is a documentation and compliance role: you would build conformity files clients can stand behind, not act as their counsel. Clients who need privileged work product engage us through their own outside counsel.

Nothing open that fits you? Email hello@getcasework.com and tell us what you would do here.

Read the work before you apply.

Every role here sits around a single deliverable. The Pack is what we sell; the methodology is how four weeks of it actually run.
